About Amanda:Amanda Bahena is an attorney with the law firm of Oostra, Bierma, Van Engen & Mouw P.L.C. in Sioux Center, Iowa. She is fluent in Spanish represents clients throughout Northwest Iowa in a variety of matters. Immigration, primarily removal defense and family-based immigration, accounts for a large part of Amanda’s practice. Amanda also represents clients in criminal defense, family law and workers compensation matters. Amanda is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association Iowa-Nebraska chapter, where she serves as the New Member Division liaison and the American Immigration Council liaison. She is also involved in the Iowa Association of Justice.
Amanda attended law school at the University of Iowa, where she was involved in immigrant rights issues. She graduated law school in 2010 and began practicing at a large firm in Omaha, Nebraska. In 2011, she and family moved back to her home town of Sioux Center, Iowa, where she enjoys working with many community organizations.
